This has been a really dark, confusing time for some of us. We’ve lost our motivation to move forward with things we used to love, we may be unsure of what we want in the future. We may even be questioning ourselves deeply.
If you’re feeling even a bit of this, well, I’d like to formally welcome you to your shadow self. This is a term that gets brought up a lot, but people don’t know what it means, to be frank, neither did I until recently.
Your Shadow self is the deeper, darker aspects of you. We all have them, pain that is buried deeply within you, guilt, shame over past decisions or mistakes that you’ve made. It may even be long standing, such as past life trauma.
I want you to know that you are going to need to go through this in order to reach a happier, healthier, lighter side of yourself. Sometimes it may just be acknowledging your pain, other times you’ll have to do a lot of work. Just don’t loose focus, don’t forget that you are an amazing human being and all of this work is simply to help you move forward and grow.
So if you’re like me, and you’re wondering why suddenly pass insecurities that you know you worked through are rearing their ugly heads, your head feels like it’s on fire, you feel sudden panic, anxiety, or drown in your worry but just as of recently, that’s your shadow self reminding you of all of your pain. But you can work thought this.
Meditate, breathe, ask if this is a temporary issue or something more deep seated. You do have the answers, just believe and trust in the person that you are and your intuition.
And if you’re struggling with finding your intuitive voice in the sea of fear, let me give you a piece of advice. Intuition does not come with fear. It is a strong, sturdy calmness that comes with confidence in your decisions.
You can do this, I believe in you.
